Rock Tavern

Rock Tavern is a small hamlet that is located near the west town line of New Windsor. The hamlet gets its name from a famous tavern that was in the area back in the 1740s. Owned and operated by John Humphrey, this tavern gained the name Rock Tavern because its foundation was a large boulder. This tavern is also famous for being the location where the current Orange County was planned out.

Pests in Rock Tavern

Because this hamlet is located in New Windsor it shares many of the same pest issues. This means that homes and business are at risk of being attacked by wood-eating insects. Two such pests are termites and carpenter ants. Termites are a type of insect that can easy invade a home without being spotted. Because of this termites can live for years inside a home without being noticed. Two signs of an infestation are seeing shelter tube and termite swarms, however, both of these can easily be missed. If you see termites in your home or business don’t try to deal with them yourself instead call Masters. Our team of termite extermination specialist will get the job done for you.

While termites are bad, carpenter ants are worse in every way. These ants are a common pest in the northeast and a possible the #1 wood damaging insect in the area. One way that you can tell that these large ants are in your home is by spotting a forager looking for food. Another sign is the sight of them swarming. This is often done for reproduction. Just like with termites, you should not try to deal with carpenter ants by yourself, instead, call us to take care of the problem. Our team is specially trained in carpenter ant extermination.

Remember that these pests are not mutually exclusive, you can have one or more creatures infesting your home at a time. If you find any uninvited guests in your home call Masters Pest Control. We are one of the best orange county NY pest control teams around!
