Matamoras
Matamoras, Pennsylvania is a modest borough in the NJ-NY-PA Tri-State area. Matamoras is the eastern most municipality in all of Pennsylvania! Originally part of Westfall Township, it was incorporated as a borough in 1905, taking its name from the Mexican city of Matamoras.
Attaching Port Jervis, New York, and this borough is the Mid-Delaware Bridge, also known as the Port Jervis-Matamoras Bridge. This bridge has a very long history that dates back over 150 years! In 1852 the local Milford and Matamoras Railroad demanded that the successful Erie Railroad build a bridge that could carry both freight and traffic. Eighteen years later that very bridge was destroyed, and then rebuilt by Port Jervis businessmen in 1872. In 1875, that bridge was damaged when an upstream ice dam broke apart. This bridge held out until 1903, where it was destroyed by a severe flood. The last iteration came in 1939 when the R.C. Ritz Construction Company built the bridge for a fourth time, where it still stands to this very day.
Pests in Matamoras
Being that Matamoras is covered at every angle by either woods or the river, it makes it a hotbed for pests. Pests will sneak into households and won’t leave until you do something about it. A common pest in this area is the bed bug, which as the name implies, lives mostly in beds. People who have bed bugs say that they will wake up with three bite marks running down their arms, legs, chest, or neck. Bed bugs are one of the most difficult pests to get rid of; they’re very abundant and very tough.
Luckily Masters Pest Control has the right tools for any bed bug problem. We’ve been dealing with pests like bed bugs for over 25 years, and we have what it takes to get rid of the problem for sure. If you or a loved one is dealing with bed bugs, don’t be a stranger! Contact us at 877.546.9575

I have been using Masters for about a month. They are controlling in house mice and insects. After 3 visits the rodent traffic has just about stopped. Master’s provides outstanding service at a very reasonable price. I had three visits to date with three different technicians and all were very friendly and knowledgable. I would recommend Master’s to all home owners who have a rodent and insect problem.

We called Master’s because we regularly had mice in our basement. The initial inspection seemed thorough, the technician knowledgeable, and everything was explained. We have been happy with the service so far; it was money well spent. We would definitely use Master’s again.
