Hemlock Farms

Hemlock Farms Community Association is a Census-Designated Place (CDP) located in Lords Valley, Blooming Grove, Porter, and Dingman Townships in Pike County, Pennsylvania. The community surrounds the namesake lake, Hemlock Lake, and has a population of 3,271. Hemlock Farms began in 1963 when Home Smith International purchased 4,500 acres of land for $700,000. When they did this they converted what was a private estate to a community with 3,726 lots.

Hemlock Farms has several amenities for its residents. These include four lakes, each with their own beach areas and bathhouse, two outdoor swimming pools, ten tennis courts, two baseball fields, two basketball courts, a volleyball court, two bocce courts, a children’s playground, and a Teen Center. Beyond that, they also have Boat Racks that are available for rent to members at 5 different locations. Hemlock Farms also has a private skating rink in the winter, their own summer camp, and private hiking trails in development.

Pests in Hemlock Farms

Hemlock Farms, spanning 4,500 acres in the woods, and even though it’s a gated community it’s not gated from one thing: Pests. Because it’s in the woods pests are crawling and rustling all over. Some common pests are rodents, stinkbugs, ants, spiders, termites, and fleas. Fleas can be problematic because not only can they live on your pets, but they can live on you and your furniture as well. Fleas are very hard to get rid of, not only do they jump 8 inches but they’re only 1.5 to 3.2 millimeters in length. If you need flea treatment for your home look no further! Masters Pest Control has been dealing with all kinds of pests, including fleas, for over 25 years. Our dedication to pest control shows in our efficient and personalized work. We take the time to make sure that your family and pets are safe when we do our work. If you need flea treatment contact us at 877.546.9575.

We called Master’s because we regularly had mice in our basement. The initial inspection seemed thorough, the technician knowledgeable, and everything was explained. We have been happy with the service so far; it was money well spent. We would definitely use Master’s again.
