Seasonal Pest Control

While other companies were doing monthly interior services for residential customers, Masters Pest Control knew that didn’t make sense. Most pest problems start from the outside and work their way in. We asked ourselves, why not treat the exterior to reduce the risk of infestations of the interior?

There are several advantages to this:

  • Stopping problems on the outside before they become problems on the inside.
  • Reduces the need for inside treatments.
  • Does not inconvenience customer with service schedules.
  • Coverage for certain pests in between the rotational servicing.
  • Prepay options at the beginning of the season.

We offer two types of service contracts:

  • R3- rotational exterior servicing in spring, summer, and fall.
  • R4- rotational exterior servicing in spring, summer, fall, and winter.

Different contracts cover different pests. If necessary, our technicians will perform an interior service. Advance notification of any interior service is required.

Spring

This is the beginning of the pest season. Over-wintering insects are now trying to establish nesting areas, and are foraging for food sources. We apply a residual perimeter treatment around your home to prevent the possible invasion of spring including but not limited to: ants, wasps, hornets, spiders, centipedes, millipedes, Pennsylvania wood roach, crickets, flies, clover mites, earwigs, and beetles.

Summer

Summer is the height of the season with the most aggressive pest activity. The spring barrier treatment is no longer as effective, and you may begin to experience more invasions. Old foraging patterns, once broken, are now mostly re-established. We will renew the barrier around your home to prevent summer time pests, as mentioned above, from establishing foraging behavior and development of nesting sites towards your home. As pests try to re-establish foraging and nesting patterns back to your home, our exterior summer service breaks this cycle.

Fall

As the weather cools and the nights become crisp, pests begin to prepare for winter. Our fall program will help protect your family and home from unwanted guests looking for a free ride in a warm home. This is a great time to be sure to close and seal garage doors and crawl spaces properly to help keep rodents out. Shelter from the winter is the dominant theme with insects and rodents this time of the year. We will bait for rodents, upon request or our recommendation, as well as check for points of possible rodent entry.

Winter

The winter visit is probably the most important visit that we make to your home. Winter is the time that we begin to prepare for spring pests and provide treatment for pests that are active in this season. Spiders, flies, and fleas can be very active this time of year in basements and attics. We may inspect of your home to identify potential problems that may occur later in the year. We follow up our inspection with suggestions and recommendations to prevent pest entry, and reduce conditions that are conducive to pest infestations for the spring season. We will also check and replace any rodent stations as necessary.
