Middletown

Middletown is a city in Orange County, New York in the Hudson Valley Region. The city’s population has grown since the 2000 census from 25,388 to 28,086 in 2010. Since Middletown was settled between other settlements, it was named Middletown to avoid confusion. Throughout the 19th century, Middletown experienced significant growth, as a result of the Erie Railroad and New York, Ontario and Western Railways.

Middletown is home to the Times Herald-Record and its owner, Local Media Group and also a manufacturing location for Bell Flavors & Fragrances.
